Urban Forest strategies have proven to activate communities, improving human health, mental
well-being, as well as environmental health and habitat for our wildlife, we will showcase the latest advances in ‘Eco-activation’ to improve degraded urban spaces using trees. We also focus on ‘FireWise’ landscaping strategies to reduce the risk of fire whilst enhancing habitat creation and increasing reuse of Construction and demolition waste materials in ‘hard’ landscaping components.
Our precious wildlife are all around us waiting to be discovered. Bring ‘the wild’ into your environment and be transported into to their world as you learn how to create habitat such as insect hotels, bird boxes and bird watering stations.
Learn how you can contribute to the biodiversity of your suburb providing habitat and food source for the fauna that inhabit your area. Build bee hotels for native bees and discover how simple recycling of your unwanted containers can become homes for native animals that have lost theirs through urbanization. Hear what the impact on birds truly as when we feed them our scrap foods.
