For the future
The Inspired Infill Program is designed to guide councils by showing them that there are ways to achieve infill goals that have the added benefits of bringing communities together and creating healthy and sustainable spaces.
This class acts as an introduction to a range of topics including effective infill planning, eco design, models for sustainable infill, landscaping for tight infill spaces, building for maximum eco efficiency, & sustainable and recycled products for building. The class will feature specialists in the field and can be used as a springboard to tak-ing the Sustainable Infill Masterclass.

Master Class Series
6 Hour Event - Online or In-person
To help residents of the City of Cockburn develop plans for in-spired infill developments on their own properties.
These events are developed in partnership with the relevant Council Department heads and designed for Council staff and elected members to skill them in all aspects of ‘inspired sustainable infill’. These events would be conducted by our design, planning, and building experts that have helped shape leading infill developments in WA.
Coucil Workshops - Train the Trainer
To train Shire councillors & staff through mapping and planning exercises for firewise homes and landscapes as Denmark is an area of increasing risk to wildfire events in today’s climate.
Tours involve site visits to locally significant inspired infill examples.
These events will be run in collaboration with the Council for target groups within the local area keen to gain in-depth un-derstanding and ideas for their own sustainable Infill projects
Getting the message out there
To educate Perth residents about building, designing, and the benefits of living in a sustainably-minded & liveable home. Delivering an accessible and engaging tour allows the wider Perth metro population an opportunity to view a real example of inspired infill to empower them to make changes on their own properties and put pressure on developers and government to make positive new builds.
This is an add-on service that can be pro-vided with any event or workshop where we will employ a professional from the Urban Impact Project to develop an evaluation framework, survey instruments, and survey questions. This survey given out to participants, will look at the efficacy and quality of the workshops, based off responses about behavioural change.
Community Engagment Research
To identify the perceived impact of the Pop-up forest space on the environmental sustainability of the space, the social engagement & economic benefits experienced by the community that frequents or works at the Café.
