Join us for a firewise garden installation! Located opposite Gracie’s General Store, this high-profile area was earmarked for a new garden – presenting a fantastic opportunity to to create a firewise garden and teach the community how to implement firewise principles into their own home.

We’re excited to invite you to come get involved:
Prefer to be hands on? Join us on Friday 1 August at 9.30am to help us with the planting and mulching, while learning about the benefits of firewise gardens. Spots are limited so please RSVP here. Please also bring gloves and a water bottle.
Keen to attend our community launch event and workshop? Join us on Saturday 2 August at 11am to 12pm to hear from Chris Ferreira, Founder of the Forever Project. The workshop will cover firewise landscaping practices, creating defensible spaces and the use of fire-retardant plants and materials. There will be an opportunity to participate in some planting so please bring some gloves if you would like to get involved. No RSVP is needed for the Saturday event – just come along on the day!
